The core of our app was used to run the First International Beauty Contest Judged by Artificial Intelligence (beauty-ai) and we have partnered with many development groups to create a set of algorithms that go beyond just the basic recognition of wrinkles, but also measure how people and impartial machines trained on millions of images perceive you.

We are continuing our experiment with beauty-ai and teaching our algorithms to evaluate more skin conditions to implement our findings in Rynkl and other products, which are becoming possible due to advances in deep learning technology.

Deep learning is a form of machine learning that uses a model of computing that's very much inspired by the structure of the brain. This method is quite good at teaching computers to do what our brains can do naturally. So instead of trying to write a program, programmers try to develop an algorithm that a computer can use to look at hundreds or thousands of examples (and the correct answers), and then the computer uses that experience to solve the same problem in new situations. Essentially, the goal is to teach the computer to solve by example, very similar to how we might teach a young child to distinguish a cat from a dog. Deep learning models are capable of learning to focus on the right features by themselves, requiring little guidance from the programmer. This makes deep learning an extremely powerful tool for modern machine learning.

So with our product, you will be a part of the formative process; even if you are not satisfied with the accuracy of the algorithm when you first use it, the accuracy will improve and reach the level where you really feel comfortable with the estimates as you continue using it. You will also learn to take pictures in the right light and with the correct perspective.

With our updates to the app, we will be getting closer to the level where the algorithm will learn which treatments fit you best and will start to suggest better solutions to you. These will be analyzed in comparison with the entire human population and latest scientific findings. This will bring incredible opportunities in cosmetology, dermatology, and the entire quality of human life.
